For the prime universe counterpart, please see USS Voyager.
For its predecessor, please see USS Voyager. The USS Voyager (NCC-74656), originally the USS Odyssey (NCC-74650), was an Intrepid-class Federation starship launched in 2374. The ship replaced its predecessor which was lost during Operation Return in 2374. On the same day, Voyager (still named Odyssey at the time) was delivered to Deep Space 9 shortly after the battle. The ship was renamed to Voyager and placed under the command of Captain Kristijan Matijević.

After the original Voyager was destroyed during Operation Return in 2374, the Defiant rescued the escape pods and headed for Deep Space 9. After the Dominion fleet suddenly disappeared in the Bajoran wormhole, the Defiant exited the wormhole alone. With the station sabotaged and more Federation vessels approaching, the Dominion abandoned the station and headed for Cardassia Prime.
As the crews of both ships beamed to Deep Space 9, a short memorial was held for Voyager on the Promenade. Admiral Ross informed Captain Matijević that he can have a new ship. At that exact moment, the Intrepid-class Odyssey docked with Deep Space 9, and command was transferred to Captain Matijević. The Chief of Starfleet Operations left a special dispensation to name the ship Voyager.
When the crew got to the bridge, they saw Voyager's dedication plaque there, albeit with a different date of launch. It took a week to replace the registries on Voyager's hull, and after that was cleared, the ship was ready to go.
Although Voyager did not participate in the First Battle of Chin'toka, the ship was instrumental in destroying the Breen ships that attacked Starfleet Headquarters in 2375.
After nearly all vessels were destroyed by the Breen energy dissipators at the Second Battle of Chin'toka. The Ki'tang and Voyager were the only surviving ships. The Ki'tang became impervious due to a chance modification made by the chief engineer. Voyager somehow managed to dodge all the Breen energy dissipators fired at it, and later was attacked by numerous Jem'Hadar vessels. The ship took critical damage, and barely escaped intact.
Voyager destroyed three Dominion capital ships and six Galor class destroyers during the Battle of Cardassia, receiving only moderate damage. After reaching Cardassia, Voyager destroyed 16 weapon platforms and the battle ended when Odo finally convinced the Female Changeling to surrender.
In 2379, while the Enterprise-E was dealing with the Scimitar, it was mentioned that Voyager was still active.
